After 20 years Odysseus finally returns to Ithaca, where he finds his wife held prisoner by suitors vying to be king and his son facing death at their hands. To win back his family and all he has lost, Odysseus must rediscover his strength.

Great, gritty, more realistic take on the last few chapters of Homer's Oddessy. No magic or gods here, just raw realism. It's a bit of a slow burn, but that adds to the power of the more "war veteran returning" focus of this version.
I do wish this production had just a bit more budget. A lot of the shots are very tight where I'd like to see some bigger sets, and a lot of the town and court shorts are very sparse where some extras would add to make Ithica feel more like a kingdom as opposed to a small settlement.
But aside, Raph Finnes is great and so is the lighting, makeup, and costumes. It looks very much like we're transported back to Greece
