When a team of mercenaries breaks into a wealthy family compound on Christmas Eve, taking everyone inside hostage, the team isn't prepared for a surprise combatant: Santa Claus is on the grounds, and he's about to show why this Nick is no saint.
Hell yeah, this was so much fun. Brought my youngest kids (8 and 12) and they both loved it. My 8 year old was accurately predicting each moment that would happen next. “Oh, that guys gonna get impaled”. It made it all the more enjoyable for him. Loved the homage to Home Alone. Something about booby traps seems to always work cinematically. You get the brief scene showing the setting of the trap, and then of course you get the payoff when the trap goes off. One of the baddies, takes one on the chin and it was our unanimous favorite moment of the film. David Harbour is perfectly cast as the gruff hardened Santa that isn’t entirely sure how all the Christmas Magic works. Give me his origin story with Mrs Clause as well.  Legitimately one of the most fun times at the theater this year. Loaded with violence and F-bombs but the theater was actually about 30% kids. Well done, fellow parents. 👏🏻👏🏻.  Definitely recommend. Good flick to get you in the Christmas spirit.
