Implausible plot aside, The Diplomat has put together an admirable ensemble cast with some rather heavy hitters on the roster. Allison Janney proves her mettle as an icy antagonist to the all grown up Keri Russell. I've binged every episode twice and give the actors thumbs up across the board while the writing and plot line are a bit much to swallow. Half-way through Season 2 and we're about to jump the shark. But stay for strong cast.
