I was a bit disappointed to discover that this film was not filmed in the Bahamas but rather Hawaii. Such a shame as the Bahamian out Islands are outstandingly beautiful.
Not withstanding, whilst the film was moderately entertaining, you have to understand it was made in 1977 which was a completely different world from 2025, so I consider it serviceable. Although, if you open the book, Hemingway‘s novel, the first couple of pages set a scene which the motion picture rather fails to capture, in my opinion. There are worst films for you to watch but if you want to have a look back Into social mores and cinematography of the mid 70s then you could do worse with this film
