Thir13en Ghosts

In Thir13en Ghosts you can find spooks and terrors that only belong in nightmares. Don't dare enter Cyrus' glass house, you'll find way more trouble than you bargained with. Now you must deal with thirteen ghosts, all with a vengeance. The Juggernaut, The Torn Prince, The Bound Woman, all parched and famished. Don't close your eyes. They want you.
Thir13en Ghosts implores you to have a little fun with some cheap humor and silly editing. Released in 2001, you can't really expect much more. They do quite well with many things in this movie which should otherwise give it a higher rating.
The costumes and sound were both on par with but predate the first Saw film in 2004. In terms of graphics they are quite identical, gore and violence the same. The plot has a few twists and turns and tries just a bit to throw you off. They don't have much power though and it becomes relatively easy to predict the next move. The jump scares disappoint most of the time, but the silly jokes and random lines soften the blow taken by the bad scares. Give this movie a try, it does deserve that. Possibly a hidden gem, but a treasure nonetheless.
