“Here Comes Mr. Jordan” had a light touch and sincere charm that grounded its fantasy. “Down to Earth” tries to recapture that magic, offering some laughs with the premise of a Black man in a wealthy white body, but it overreaches. Despite the setup, it lacks the emotional weight to make it resonate.
