Taking a page out of something from what Ari Aster would do with some resemblance to The Dark and The Wicked. Fréwaka boasts a heavy mood centralized around trauma and grief. I understand these subjects in recent horror are starting to run thin so that's up to your own will how much you'll allow to seep into your mind.
Regardless it can't be denied that there are some real effective uncomfortable feelings evoked when watching this. Tension and atmosphere continually brood backed by eerie soundscapes making you question reality within the film. I have many unanswered questions and it'll take awhile for me to digest before wrapping my brain around this one if at all.
