A story told in such a way it would be unlikely to receive a 2h runtime these days. It's a basic idea that tries to suggest a deeper meaning with unnatural and overly prophetic dialogue. A few style over substance shots are also thrown in for good measure including the entire sub-story which feels completely superfluous.
It teases something good but bumbles the execution in all departments.
