Takes a few awkward steps out of the gate to
“establish” our new characters before thrusting us into the body swap. And when the body swap happens it takes a little (perhaps a lot) of getting used to which characters are which. Once the film finds it’s bearings though, it’s a really entertaining and funny, family affair. Lindsay Lohan and JLC still got it. I was happy to see their characters (bodies) remain front and center. Lots of really funny supporting roles/cameos. I loved Vanessa Bayer’s palm reader, especially. Very much in keeping with the tone and tempo of the preview film. I was skeptical when this was announced, but this was a delight. Bonus half star for the 🇵🇭 representation. Needed more 🇵🇭food though.
