A minor disagreement between neighbors in Florida takes a lethal turn, with police body camera footage and interviews probing the aftermath of the state's controversial "stand your ground" laws.

I think this movie was a solid argument for Stand Your Ground laws. Shooting at anyone through a locked steel door is not self defense or stand you ground, and has nothing to do with this case. I thought the police asking about whether the shooter researched stand your ground was a red herring. I thought the shooter's argument that she feared for her life was weak at best. This wasn't about race, but they tried to make it about race, just like everything that comes out of Hollywood. I thought the text on the sceen implying that white folks where killing black folks en masse was misleading. FBI crime statistics do not support that assumption. This was about an idiot with a gun and an overly aggressive door knocking neighbor. Bad (and stupid) shoot, and the sentence was appropriate. What I really took to heart was to stay off of my neighbor's property, because they could be crazy and homicidal.
