Control kind of has some X-Files vibes in the way it looks and plays out which makes it fun. It's nothing extraordinary or remarkable; plays too safe to stand out from just another crime thriller. A huge plot hole in that you're taking an infamous killer, putting on a false display that he was executed, remove a few tats and scars, and putting him back on the streets he lived like no one was going to recognize who he was.
