After saving Casey, a daughter of his friend, from hired assassins, Jack Devlin is hit with a strange phobia - fear of white color. But when his other friend, who works as a bodyguard for a supermodel, is wounded, Jack decides to step in for him. Now he must confront his fear and the assassin, who seems to be well aware of Jack's problem
Complete misfire from John Woo, in every sense. Blackjack lacks the finesse, intensity, and emotional weight that defines Woo's best work. Dolph Lundgren is scared of a color... that's the plot. The color white just terrifies and shuts him down. Blackjack is ultimately a dull, lifeless, disappointment. It’s a far cry from Woo's Hong Kong masterpieces and even his Hollywood blockbusters, feeling more like a rough draft than a fully realized film.
