The odd occasion when a sequel is either better or the same as the original. The story and special effects hold up well for a 1990s film. It's a shame they didn't end it there as the rest of the films in this series became sillier the longer it went on. Especially the last film where they replaced the titular characters with female versions and made the terminator into a drapes installer with a family in the woods. The Sarah Conner Chronicles TV series however was pretty good so watch that after this.
