Daredevil Season 2 expands on the show’s gritty, street-level storytelling while introducing two iconic Marvel characters—Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) and Elektra Natchios (Élodie Yung). The result is an ambitious season but stumbles towards the end. The Punisher-Centric first half of the season is fantastic. Bernthal is like a force of nature as the gun toting vigilante and forces Daredevil to question his overall effectiveness as a hero. On the opposite side, Elektra’s portion of the season starts strong but then falters under the weight of its own build up. An overall good season just not a great one.
