Midsommar

A couple travels to Northern Europe to visit a rural hometown's fabled Swedish mid-summer festival. What begins as an idyllic retreat quickly devolves into an increasingly violent and bizarre competition at the hands of a pagan cult.
Wow, I absolutely loved this movie directed by Ari and it's actually not the first movie I have been from him without knowing who the director was the movie I watched a few months ago was Beau is afraid which was also brilliant. I had no expectations coming into watching this movie and the only reason I watched it was because my daughter mentioned it's suppose to be a good dystopian film all I sat and watched it with her. And by gosh did it meet and exceed my expectations.
This is a pinnacle folk psychological horror movie with some scenes that will make you say WTFFFF.
Ari knows now to use signs effects and the sound track to create ambience infact I will go as far to say that how Ari uses sound as good as how William friedken in The exorcist used sound effects.
This is definitely worth a watch.
