Somehow......My notes for: KPop: Demon Hunters
K soooo,
Any oddly high score usually warrants at least a partial investigation and after 20 minutes, I was like okay.... let's see what you got, kid 🤣😂 these are the actual notes:
Funnier than I was expecting, and actually ends up being consistently funny.
Great animation,. especially at relaying emotions with the facial expressions, they are super clear and add a cool layer to the style.... which has some Neo-Tex Avery moments that are legit hilariius, and it's gorgeous.
My one small gripe is the lower frame rate, while it suits the animation fine generally...I guesss, but it makes the lipsync look off... but maybe that's a plus if they want to release in a bunch of languages?! 🤷♂️
Songs are pretty painless for what I think is a YA Kpop musical and actually some are pretty catchy, but not Moana level catchy 🦀
(The word Songs above had somehow autocorrected to Dongs and I only noticed on my review so that made me laugh when I reread the sentence with Dongs 😂🤣)
I dunno, I can see why people like it, I had fun! A familiar story, written well, with interesting enough characters with some, like the bird and cat, being highlights. 🎩🐦⬛🪣😻
TLDR: Little out of my wheelhouse but I'm glad I watched it! Looks amazing and the style is very cool.
