Absolutely loved this. Fernanda Torres is incredible in the portrait of a woman powerfully holding her family together in the wake of her husband’s disappearance at the hands of the Brazilian military dictatorship. Shifting course, and persevering in order to provide for her family, giving them a life filled with joy, when underneath it all there’s still a deep yearning for some kind of acknowledgement as to the wrongs that have been committed. Fernanda Montenegro was 🤌🏼. Incredibly moving film. Highly recommend.
