Better than I remembered despite a sluggish middle portion. Really liked the first and last acts including that Long Cold Open. Love the introduction of potential immunity but how that can actually facilitate the spread. Reminded me of the fabled covid parties of the lockdown era. 🦠 Fresnadillo isn’t quite as proficient at pulling off the shaky cam/quick cut style. I get a little frustrated during some of those sequences, particularly when strobe effects are used. Just makes those scenes nearly incoherent. Love me a bleak ending though. Still prefer the first to this one, but I’m really looking forward to the latest entry.
