Maybe it's because I started to cook and share food with people I know in the last few years. Maybe it's because I'm far from most of my friends and family. Maybe it's because the ladies in the movie felt very real and reminded me of my grandmothers. But I really enjoyed this movie. The plot is not the most complex or intriguing, and you shouldn't watch it for any twists or cutting edge filming techniques, but the sense of love and community it portrays, centered around food, is awe-inspiring. I want that in my life.
