A publishing executive is visited and bitten by a woman and starts exhibiting erratic behavior. He pushes his secretary to extremes as he tries to come to terms with his delusions. The woman continues to visit and as his madness deepens, it begins to look as if some of the events he's experiencing may be hallucinations.

A publishing executive (Nic Cage) begins to believe he’s becoming a vampire when he’s bit on the neck by a woman he’s brought home (Jennifer Beals). But when his vampiric pixie dream girl eventually spurns him, he takes a rapid descent into madness.
Cage eats a live cockroach. And that’s not the craziest part of his performance. Slipping in and out of different accents, exaggerated gaits and movements, bizarro facial expressions—this is like nothing I’ve ever seen. King. Honestly, a must watch.
