Not a hardcore Trekkie here, but I’ve enjoyed the reboot movies so far—and Star Trek Beyond keeps that momentum going, even if it doesn’t quite hit the highs of the first two.
The plot is simple, the villain’s a bit forgettable, but the cast chemistry and solid action make up for it. Spock and Bones have some great moments, and the movie moves at a fun pace. Nothing groundbreaking, but definitely an enjoyable ride.
