The live-action take on How to Train Your Dragon hits harder than expected, finding new weight in a story many already know by heart. The casting is strong, the dragons look fantastic, and the bond between Hiccup and Toothless still steals the show.
It leans a bit more serious than the animated version, trading some charm for grit, but the emotional core holds firm. There’s real care in how the world is rebuilt, and the flight scenes still deliver that sense of awe.
