A reluctant Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, sets out to the Lonely Mountain with a spirited group of dwarves to reclaim their mountain home and the gold within it from the dragon Smaug.
Great if you like delving deep in to the minutia of the legendarium of middle earth. But for casual watchers slow to start and often the songs and jokes fall a bit flat. A choice has clearly been made to make this more than the book ever was and you cant help wonder how it kept the title of the Hobbit. Their are a lot of charachters to give screenspace to. But a valient effort for such a rich world.
