Before I Change My Mind

This is a fascinating movie that deserves better than the category it’s been boxed into. It’s no more a "gay movie" than a "straight movie," it’s a glimpse into a character’s life that could belong to anyone. Robin is a mirror, and I think anyone could find pieces of themselves in them.
What’s both infuriating and brilliant is that you leave the film knowing no more about Robin than when you started. All you get are glimpses. But those glimpses shift your focus from “what is Robin?” to “who is Robin?” And that’s where the film quietly excels.
You’ll reach the end wondering, “What did I just watch?” But that confusion is the hook. It lingers. It makes you think. And that’s what makes it so interesting.
