I'm probably in the minority here, as I have seen a number of harsh reviews, but I liked this movie more than just a little. It's pretty typical Woody Allen fare with witty dialog, neurotic characters, and a bouncy soundtrack set against the Manhattan skyline on, at least in this case, a gray rainy day.
In a way, it's kind of a poor man's Annie Hall. Make no mistake, Elle Fanning is no Diane Keaton, but Timothee Chalamet does an admirable job delivering Allen's script and Jude Law provides a stand-out supporting performance.
There are no guffaws to speak of but ample chuckles and smiles throughout. Not a bad movie to watch when stuck inside on, well...a rainy day.
