McBride's party find themselves in a world populated by primitive warriors and terrifying prehistoric creatures, all of whom they must evade in order to get back safely to their ship.

"The People That Time Forgot" faithfully follows its predecessor, "The Land That Time Forgot," featuring the same lead, Doug McClure, reprising his role. However, the film's less-than-convincing rendering of prehistoric creatures detracts significantly from its appeal. The story relies heavily on a thin script and modest performances, which unfortunately do not deliver.
