Yeah, not great, but I think it can be explained by some simple misunderstandings. Rahim was told to act like a piece of the proverbial, but must have just read, act… well, proverbial. Johnson, act nonchalant and, ‘yeah whatever, I don’t care’… she must have read ‘act’ as ‘be’. Simple mistakes, but they make an impact. Putting aside the acting, the script is pretty good… sorry, I mean terrible. The three visual stereotypes of our heroines all being switched over during one conversation feels like a, ‘gotcha, aren’t we progressive?’
It is a real shame, as the premise of the story overall has potential, it’s just wasted by a very lazy script, and seemingly, very bored actors… and that’s being kind.
