The acting from the leads is good, but this biopic never really takes off. It feels entirely to safe. The narrative didn't flow well for me and all the build up to the match didn't payoff that well. This is very well shot. Some truly gorgeous looking scenes. I just wanted more. If anything Emma Stones turn as Billy King has made me want to do a lot of reading on how fascinating she was in real life.
