Still one of the most flawed entries in the franchise: The Entity is an oft used (and poor) villain moniker, the melodrama is cranked up to 11, and there were some new editing choices that don’t serve the story…
…and that choice I’ll never forgive…
…but it’s a movie that is also adrenaline-fueled, earnest, and well aware of the stakes, not just the stakes of the plot but of (forgive me) cinema itself.
It also gave me Pom Klementieff in a way I’ll never forget.
