When an 8-year-old girl disappears on Caddo Lake, a series of past deaths and disappearances begin to link together, altering a broken family's history.
I think I saw a sizzle reel for upcoming Max titles a short while back that included Caddo Lake. It stood out because it was the only film I hadn’t heard of before, it was coming out relatively soon and it showed a brief (like 2 second) clip that showed Eliza Scanlen—and that was it. It was enough to get me intrigued and I’m also very glad that was all I knew going into this because it really heightened the viewing experience. It’s a really excellent mystery thriller that I’m hesitant to say anything substantive about out of fear of potentially ruining anything or putting any kind of expectations on the film. Dylan O’Brien and Eliza Scanlen are both doing excellent work. I love both of them. The film has a deliberate pace to start, but really picks up in the latter half as the mystery begins to unfold. Highly recommend.
