Godzilla, Earth's defender, senses the threat and meets ''the Smog Monster'' head-on in a literal battle for Earth's survival.

It's tough to ignore the social commentary in this acid trip of a Godzilla film. This one was unsettling as a kid. Definitely one of the darker entries in the franchise.
