This episode brings home why there's little likelyhood much of this series will hold a place in the long term memories of Star Trek fans, it really is best forgotten. There's little else to add except I suspect if the cast & film crew felt a sense of the under achievement in the Star Trek universe that this episode represents, they all headed directly home from the studios for a stiff drink before exercising huge restraint by not repeatedly kicking an inaminate object.
