Saw this one on TV in the late '80s or early '90s.
Angela Lansbury as Jessica Fletcher, mystery writer turned amateur sleuth, solving murders in Cabot Cove and beyond.
It was cozy, clever and strangely addictive.
No gore, no grit, just polite interrogations, suspicious glances and Jessica outsmarting everyone with charm and logic.
As a teen, it felt grown-up but safe.
The guest stars were endless, the plots were formulaic but satisfying and the theme music was pure comfort.
It was like a warm cup of tea with a body in the pantry.
