Came in with low expectations but I enjoyed this one. I’ve been watching the anime Kaiju No. 8, and I also recently watched Gozilla Minus One and Rise of the Planet of the Apes. So I’m happily eating up all the animal fights right now. The CGI was pretty good and I’m glad they focused much more on the monsters rather than the human plot. The humans were also decently entertaining this time around, I liked the addition of Dan Stevens and there were some pretty funny gags. I also thought the visuals of the tribes and the crystalline structures were pretty cool. Hollow Earth was simple but I got no complaints. The one thing I didn’t like was Mothra, it seemed way too magical and appeared out of thin air. I’m not rating this movie based on how good it is, I just watched this for some silly entertaining fun and that’s exactly what I got!
