It got a few chuckles out of me in the first 30 mins. It seemed they really did make an honest effort to make a Naked Gun film, but Liam Neeson was the wrong choice. I think he just has too much gravitas as an actor in serious roles. I know it's supposed to be a juxtaposition and part of a joke, but it just doesn't hit the same. Leslie Neilson was the master at playing the straight-man in a goofy world. Neeson does his absolute best but ultimately the film comes off as trying too hard. Although it seems like an earnest effort, it also feels 20 years too late and completely mis-cast, aside from Kevin Durand, who is amazing in everything he's in.
