Hundreds of Beavers

Hundreds of Beavers
In this 19th century, supernatural winter epic, a drunken applejack salesman must go from zero to hero and become North America's greatest fur trapper by defeating hundreds of beavers.

Not sure what I expected going in but a Buster Keaton-like silent film-styled comedy with notes of Looney Toons and Wes Anderson certainly wasn't it.
Saturday morning cartoons, Three Stooges, Karel Zeman, you can attribute many inspirations and homages to Hundreds of Beavers though there's no deniability to its bold creativity. The glaring issue? It's just way too damn. With the little substance it wasn't even close to keeping my attention. I applaud everyone who was a part of the production and am glad this wholesome thing was created. Would had been a lot better as a 45 minute short.
