All Creatures Great & Small (2020)

James Herriot, fresh out of Glasgow Veterinary College, pursues his dream to become a vet in the Yorkshire Dales. He discovers that treating the animals is as much about treating their owners, and the Dales' farmers are a tough to please.
A relentlessly pleasant watch where nothing exciting ever really happens. The plot of every episode essentially follows a farm veterinarian in the Yorkshire countryside who wins over the local farmers by being kind to animals who might die, but never do in the end. It makes Downton Abbey look positively scandalous by comparison. It’s a show made to ensure elderly viewers don’t see anything upsetting or elevate their heart rate. I love it.
