Not only is Evil Dead a PERFECT remake but I'll stand to say it's one of the best horror films of the 21st century. Perfectly encompassing what the horror genre is and should be. Those that claim to loathe this rendition just have a stick up their ass. All of the signature Evil Dead elements are here and respected but presented with absolute seriousness. A rare feat to be pulled off. Nothing funny here, no cheeky one liners, it's straight brutality never letting up and never succumbing to a dull moment.
