Visually rich and thematically gentle, The Wild Robot lands as a thoughtful family film that takes its time. The animation is beautiful, with natural environments rendered in soft, storybook detail, but the pacing may test younger audiences.
There's real heart in the story of Roz the robot finding her place in the wilderness, and the message of connection through difference lands well. Still, the film holds back just when it feels like it's about to soar.
