This movie is based on a comic which is kinda apparent based on certain ideas and story structure, but the execution is just poor. Too many long meandering scenes and disconnects in logic, and some of the dialogue is baffling. The highlight scene is Michael Pitt getting into a screaming match with his sister and yelling “YOUR HEART IS BLACK! YOU’RE DEAD INSIDE!”, but mostly this is boring and nonsensical. The premise could be remade into a good movie, but this aint it.
