Some call this the best sports movie ever made. I fully concur, but yet, the film is so much more. High school basketball in early 1950's Indiana may be the background story, but it's human drama that takes center court. Exceptional character development and acting. Gene Hackman is at the top of his game and "Hoosiers" is a watch-list slam dunk.
