Withnail and I

Withnail and I
Two out-of-work actors -- the anxious, luckless Marwood and his acerbic, alcoholic friend, Withnail -- spend their days drifting between their squalid flat, the unemployment office and the pub. When they take a holiday "by mistake" at the country house of Withnail's flamboyantly gay uncle, Monty, they encounter the unpleasant side of the English countryside: tedium, terrifying locals and torrential rain.

Ugh, actors
Ngl I didn’t understand a lot of the Shakespearean (read: over my head) symbolism and poetics! Not the references for that matter! Sorry!
Wild watching Mr. Dursley basically play Mr. Dursley 15 years before he was offered the role. But you know more overtly gay and creepy
Great soundtrack! Not my bag of a film! Reminds me of The Graduate??? Didn’t mind the plot or themes but I honestly couldn’t get into the “witty” dialogue.
