Love J. Lee Thompson, love The Cannon Group, love Sharon Stone, yet I cannot love King Solomon's Mines. This thing really is a generic brand Indiana Jones. Really weird dialogue too- one instance our Indiana Jones wannabe picks up some gold treasure and says, "I could buy Iowa with a handful of these" IOWA, literally the first purchase he wants to make is IOWA. Just crazy excess but I suppose that's what makes The Cannon Group great to begin with.
As a kid I probably would had liked this more, nearly thirty- no way. A few great creature effects, the best quicksand scene, and the mine scenes at the end are cool.
