In late 1967, a young orphaned boy goes to live with his loving grandma in the rural Alabama town of Demopolis. As the boy and his grandmother encounter some deceptively glamorous but thoroughly diabolical witches, she wisely whisks him away to a seaside resort. Regrettably, they arrive at precisely the same time that the world's Grand High Witch has gathered.

My quick rating - 5.5/10. I will say I liked this but again, just can't compare to the source material. Not a disappointment this time, just seemed to try and rely too much on the effects and not the story. The plot itself just seemed to be rushed and secondary. Casting wise I think they did a good job with this one. Some pretty funny moments as well but just not overall that impressive. Still, if this weren't a remake it may have done better. Unfair, yes, but that is what happens.
