Stick is a feel-good sports dramady that does its job, but will leave you wanting more. It tugs on the right heart strings and has some really endearing performances. The writing, on the other hand, can be rather silly and some characters lack believable arcs. The show excels when it focuses on its darker themes, like loss, divorce, and coming of age. It struggles when trying to make the golf and action sequences fit the overall narrative.
