The House Where Evil Dwells
A young American family moves to a House in Kyoto, Japan. It turns out to be haunted by the ghosts of a woman and her lover, who were killed by the woman's husband, as well as the ghost of the husband, who killed himself afterward.

Haunted house picture but set in Japan. Like much of the subgenre it's a slow cooking brooding piece. There are some great depictions of violence, mostly deaths by sword. Limbs are sliced and heads roll. It's just a shame most of the run time for The House Where Evil Dwells is lackluster with little happenings. Big Susan George fan and she sure keeps the eyes on the screen here.
