During its return to the earth, commercial spaceship Nostromo intercepts a distress signal from a distant planet. When a three-member team of the crew discovers a chamber containing thousands of eggs on the planet, a creature inside one of the eggs attacks an explorer. The entire crew is unaware of the impending nightmare set to descend upon them when the alien parasite planted inside its unfortunate host is birthed.

I (somehow) have only seen the "Director's Cut" until last night.
Yes really. Until fairly recently, I had no clue that every time I watched this movie, that I was watching the DC version. I couldn't figure out why I didn't enjoy the movie as much as everyone said I would/should until I watched a breakdown video of every change made in the DC. In Scott's attempt to speed up the film's pacing, it feels even slower than the original cut. I was blown away by how different each version felt because the OG's pacing was incredible, I never felt it was "slow" paced while we watched it.
