A pre-history horror is such a fun and novel idea. The ultimate solution to having to contrive a reason of why cell phones don’t work, setting it in a period where we collectively know next to nothing is very powerful. Everything is a threat as you make your way literally and figuratively out of darkness.
There’s so much care in the production (to the point where the cast and crew developed a proto-language) that I recommend it just on that merit.
