Great series, well acted and better than average attention to detail for a series set in this timeframe (one of my biggest pet peeve is bright white veneers even when set hundreds of years ago). It reminded me in a lot of way to the series Black Sails (also very good if you haven't watched it)
One thing that really annoys me is the British were truly barbaric, and yet in modern times they have the nerve to dictate to other countries what is appropriate behaviour, double standards if you ask me
