Freaks is a sci-fi thriller built on strong performances and a story that trusts the audience to keep up. Rather than laying everything out from the start, it drops breadcrumbs, inviting you to piece things together. When the truth finally clicks into place, it feels earned. It’s not flashy by superhero standards, but it's an entertaining film carried by a kid.
